My Theorethical Approach
Fundamentally I am a person-centred counsellor. My belief is that everyone has the resources within themselves to make changes in the way they think about themselves and in how they manage their situations. People are different – from each other and from what the books say. A “textbook case” is rare, if not non-existent.
I offer my clients a safe and non judgemental space to explore their feelings and their issues which can allow healing to occur. I find a lot of stressful issues an be helped with CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy). A good site for info on CBT is www.getselfhelp.co.uk. Also google your issue or issues and we will discuss what you might need in your counselling sessions. Hopefully I will be able to help you help yourself!
